Our passion at Flavors of Paris is to share the flavours of Paris that we know and love; the off-the-beaten-path gems of daily Parisian life and the “in the know” artisanal offerings that
we have discovered one at a time.
The Original Flavors of Paris tasting tour was our inaugural experience, set in the neighborhood of Saint-Germain. Since then, we’ve discovered even more we want to share with you, leading us to expand our collection of tours and events designed to delight not only your taste buds, but all of your senses.
We’re not about taking you to big monuments like the Eiffel Tower. We figure you can find that easily on your own. We are about providing you with an intimate, immersive and sensory experience of Paris at a local level.
Lisa Rankin
Founder/ Chief Experience Officer
Flavors of Paris was a natural extension of founder Lisa Rankin’s lifelong passions. Her love of Paris, French culture, art, and exceptional food and wine has always been at the heart of her work.
Through Flavors of Paris, Lisa has created a space where these interests come together, bringing people from around the world closer to the discoveries she’s uncovered throughout her life in Paris. She especially values the opportunity to connect, share, and inspire through story telling and shared experiences. An artist at heart, Lisa studied fine arts in Canada and spent many years as a professional potter and gallery owner.
She is also a photographer, singer, writer, and storyteller. Before moving to Paris, her work became rooted in craftsmanship and the world of artisans. As a professional potter, she not only created her own work, but also founded and ran a school that supported and represented more than 100 of Canada’s finest artisans; from woodworkers and glassblowers to textile and fine craft artists.
That experience shaped Lisa’s enduring appreciation for authenticity, the craft behind the finished product, and, most importantly, the people behind what we consume. Supporting small, independent creators has always been central to her philosophy. In 2011, Lisa brought that philosophy to Paris. After leaving Toronto, she founded Flavors of Paris as both a tour company and a blog, creating a platform to share her passion for food, culture, art, and the everyday beauty of Parisian life.
Today, Flavors of Paris has grown into a multiple award-winning company, offering immersive, locally rooted experiences to thousands of clients from around the world.
WILL INRIG
Perfume Tour Expert
Will Inrig is one of a handful of perfumers in the world today. He grew up in Canada and was drawn to Paris to study the art of perfumery and has remained in Paris to practise his craft. He is a trend-setting, outspoken young perfumer, and the creator of hit fragrance Acide by Éditions M.R, which challenged the tenets of perfumery and caused a stir within the conservative industry of fragrance. Before establishing his own laboratory, Inrig interned in olfactory heritage at Chanel, and consulted on-brand content for L’Oréal and Coty.
Today, Will creates bespoke perfumes for individuals and fashion brands. He is the author of ‘Poems About Sex’ and co-author of several books on natural raw materials. His work has been featured in Vogue and GQ magazines.
Pépé
VP of client relations & Pawlygot
Since Pepe joined Flavors of Paris in 2020, he has become the heart of our company and one of the most beloved team members. Originally being from Spain and being raised in France with his Canadian mom, bringing an international perspective to the business, as well as being fluent in the universal language of affection. He is a true Pawlyglot. Pepe understands multiple languages: Spanish, French, and English. Giving him his remarkable ability to connect with people from all over the world.
Even though we may never know what Pepes' breed is, his distinct character is undoubtedly remarkable. Pepe is a fan favorite among our guests and, of course, is a favorite among the locals. Whether he is greeting visitors or accompanying our interns and team members, Pepe always approaches every interaction with the most enthusiasm and curiosity. There isn't a single person Pepe wouldn't be interested in being friends with.
Pepe joins our tours by invitation only. Out of respect to our guests, we will always confirm in advance that everyone is comfortable with his participant before he joins our groups. When he is invited, he is undoubtedly delighted to share the experience and help create the warm and personal atmosphere that he has become a treasure of Flavors of Paris.
